Najee Harris had to quickly delete a post brutally criticizing Ben Roethlisberger but before he deleted it, people had already screengrabbed it and shared it on social media. Here is Najee’s post calling out Ben.
“We probably aren’t supposed to be here,” Roethlisberger said. “We probably are not a very good football team. Out of 14 teams that are in, we’re probably at number 14. We’re double-digit underdogs in the playoffs. So let’s just go plan and have fun and see what happens.
“…We’re probably 20-point underdogs and we’re going to No. 1 team… that’s won the AFC the last two years. Arguably the best team in football. We don’t have a chance so let’s just go in and have fun.”
Najee Harris was clearly as confused as the rest of us by the latest soundbite from his quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.
On Wednesday, Roethlisberger basically admitted to local media that his team has no chance of beating the Chiefs in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs this weekend.
Najee Harris took to Instagram to react to the quote from Big Ben. He posted the quote with a caption questioning the context of his answer before quickly deleting it.
While Ben Roethlisberger was probably going for some weird gamesmanship thing with his comments, it’s clear that Najee Harris isn’t planning on going to Kansas City just to have a fun time.
It appears that Najee didn’t take Ben’s sarcasm very well. Ben is an old vet he is trying to lure the Chiefs into being overconfident and that can only help the Steelers.
Andy Reid has been known to choke in playoffs, so it wouldn’t shocked me if the Steelers won the game, but I wouldn’t bet any money on it.
