After Black Monday came and passed, many NFL fans were genuinely shocked that the New York Giants didn’t fire their head coach Joe Judge. It seems like the historic franchise wanted to wait until the next day for whatever reason, announcing that they fired Judge late Tuesday afternoon.
Judge had a tumultuous time in the big apple, compiling a record of 10-23 in his two years as head coach and has been at the ire of fans criticsm since he first got the job. The Giants were about as bad of a team as it gets under his tenure, setting new lows on offense and all but fumbled the development of quarterback Daniel Jones.
Social media–along with Giants fans, are rejoicing, while one Twitter user said the rest of the NFC East is not liking the move. We will see how long it takes for the Mara’s to find the Giants next head coach, but with the abundance of big names out in the market, a big name maybe what this struggling franchise needs.
