The Palm Beach Police has arrested a Florida woman who’s said to have shot and killed her OPP while trying to pistol-whip her during what the police call fistfight. The incident happened on Monday, and it was streamed live on Instagram with thousands of onliners watching.
It is reported that while she was trying to pistol-whip her OPP, the gun went off and killed her via MTO News:
And that fistfight was live-streamed on Instagram and has been viewed now by millions of people. In the video, a group of girls are seen jumping the eventual murder victim.
Then, a woman resembling Jasmine is seen rushing towards the victim waving a gun. The woman in the video appears to swing the gun at the victim, as if to pistol whip her. But the gun goes off, and the opp falls to the ground lifelessly.
Police say that Jasmine Nelson, 32, is the woman in the video who took out a handgun during the brawl and shot a 26-year-old woman, who died at the scene.
After the video cut off, someone called 9-1-1 and officers responded to a report of a woman shot and bleeding at the scene.
When police arrived, they found the victim, whose name has not been released, lying on the pavement in the parking lot of the park. She was pronounced dead by West Palm Beach Fire Rescue.
Jasmine is now facing one count of second-degree murder remains in the Palm Beach County Jail, MTO News has confirmed. The victim’s grandmother and a witness were present at the hearing.
There are way too many guns in our society, and they are in the hands of people who have no clue how to use them. If you are going to pistol-whip someone, you need to have the safety on. There is a big difference between assault and murder. Even if it was an accident, Nelson is going to jail for a long time.
