Miles Bridges has hopped on Twitter to apologize to a female fan who he appeared to have hit with a mouthpiece following a play-in loss on Wednesday night. According to Miles in his tweet, he’s looking for the teenage girl to apologize to because what he did was totally unacceptable. It’s unacceptable and that can get him penalized.
He retweeted a video of the video and wrote; “Somebody get me in contact with the young lady. That’s unacceptable.” According to Side Action;
During the team’s play-in game against the Hawks, the Hornets were outclassed early and often — losing the affair by a score of 132-103.
As Miles Bridges was walking off the floor after the game, a fan appeared to be sarcastically waving “bye” to him, when he snapped, chucking his mouthpiece in the fans direction.
Miles Bridges will likely receive a fine for his mouthpiece toss, and hopefully he can make amends with the fan he hit. Obviously, we’ve seen a lot of instances over the past year where fans overstep their boundaries, but it really doesn’t seem like this is one of them (unless I’m missing something.)
But, Miles Bridges is clearly upset that his season is now coming to a close, and he let his emotions get the best of him. Hopefully he uses it as a learning experience.
Bridges was trying to hit the man who was taunting him by waving goodbye, but he has terrible aim and hit the girl right in the jaw.
She didn’t seem too upset about it, but when the lawyers started calling her in the AM I am sure her jaw today feels like it was hit by Deontay Wilder. You know how that goes. One day the new Malice in the Palace is coming. It is just a matter of time if fans keep egging on the players.
