Will Ben Simmons ever play basketball again?
Back injuries and their recovery from them can be iffy add in the mental block that Simmons has about getting on the court. I would say that 3-4 months of recovery time is ambitious at best.
Here are the details of the type of surgery he is getting.
Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons will undergo surgery Thursday to treat the herniated disk in his back, the team announced Wednesday.
Simmons is expected to need three to four months to make a full recovery from the surgery, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The expectation is that he’ll be ready to return well ahead of training camp.
“After consultation with multiple back specialists, it has been determined that the best course of action for Ben’s long-term health is for him to undergo surgery,” the team’s statement read.
The procedure, called a microdiscectomy, is designed to alleviate pain caused by the herniated disk, the team said.
Ben was recently spotted playing Call of Duty for 23 hours in a row.
Simmons allegedly spent 23 hours straight playing Call of Duty. A Tweet from user Broad Street Buddies has an attached screenshot of Simmons’ supposed PlayStation Network account that shows the basketball player was playing Call of Duty and that he’d been doing so for 23 hours and 3 minutes…
It’s fairly normal that Simmons is playing video games while he’s off with an injury, but for 23 hours straight when he’s getting paid to not play due to his “back issue”
Ben Simmons is not worth the headache.
Do you believe Simmons will ever play an entire season for the Nets?
James Harden might not be what he used to be, but at least he is on the court, and that means something.
