Charlotte Hornets Miles Bridges after allegedly assaulting the mother of his kids Mychelle Johnson in front of their kids has been charged with domestic violence and child abuse.
According to TPS;
It was reported last month that the 24-year-old turned himself in the day after the incident. Soon, his wife would take to social media and exposed what he did to her. In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Bridges’ wife, Mychelle Johnson, shared photos of injuries she said she sustained during the alleged altercation with Bridges.
“I won’t allow the people around him to continue to silence me and continue to lie to protect this person,” she wrote. “It’s unethical, it’s immoral, it’s truly sick. It hurts my heart because I’ve always had hope, and so much love and as scary as this is for me to do it’s time I stand up for myself.”
Bridges has been slapped with “one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.”
L.A. District Attorney George Gascon addressed the charging of Miles, saying “Domestic violence creates physical, mental and emotional trauma that has a lasting impact on survivors,”
Gascon continued … “Children who witness family violence are especially vulnerable and the impact on them is immeasurable. Mr. Bridges will be held accountable for his actions and our Bureau of Victim Services will support the survivors through this difficult process.”
Mychelle Johnson, the alleged victim (Mychelle identified herself), claims she was injured from the alleged attack … saying she was diagnosed with multiple inquires including a “brain concussion, closed fracture of nasal bone, contusion of rib, multiple bruises, strain of neck muscle.”
Johnson and Bridges have two children together.
If he is found guilty, he deserves jail time.
