How did she end up naked?
This is a very strange and wild story coming out of Atlantic City, where ex-NFL running back Frank Gore has been arrested for simple assault. The details are coming out about what happened, and they don’t look very favorable for Gore. TMZ Sports has the police report.
Frank Gore grabbed a naked woman by her hair and dragged her across a hotel room’s hallway during an altercation in Atlantic City, N.J. last month … according to new, bombshell court documents obtained by TMZ Sports.
Cops say the incident between the NFL legend and a 28-year-old woman happened in the early morning hours of July 31 on the 59th floor of the Tropicana Casino’s Havana Tower.
According to the docs, Gore “forcibly” gripped the woman by her hair … before “violently dragging her nude person along the floor of the 59th hallway.”
As we previously reported, Atlantic City Police said officers were initially called out to the scene at around 8:11 a.m. on the 31st, but did not make any arrests after they said the woman “did not exhibit signs of injury.”
Gore, though, was ultimately charged days later with simple assault after cops said they further investigated the allegations.
Gore, according to records, is due in court for a hearing in the case in October.
He’s yet to publicly comment on the accusations.
She didn’t have any injuries, according to the cops, besides a few minor rug burns.
Gore is now a professional boxer.
Gore won his professional boxing debut Saturday by landing a right cross that knocked out Yaya Olorunsola, who fell to the canvas in the fourth round of the co-main event of Gamebred Boxing 1 in Mississippi. Gore shared a video of the final seconds of the fight plus his initial celebration to Twitter, with the caption “Today was a great day!!! Want to thank my team for all the hard work!!” and a praying hands emoji.
Saturday also marked Gore’s 39th birthday, so he had another reason to bask in victory. Olorunsola, 29, is 0-2 in his career.
Gore previously boxed (and lost a split-decision to) former NBA All-Star Deron Williams in an exhibition bout in December. After earning more than $62 million during a 16-year NFL career, he reportedly was paid $300,000 to fight Williams.
As he turns to his future, Gore leaves behind an NFL past that includes 16,000 career rushing yards. Only Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton ran for more. Gore’s final game was with the 2020 Jets but he announced recently that he plans to sign a one-day contract with the San Francisco 49ers and retire as a member of the team with whom he spent his first 10 seasons.
