Kenny Lofton is in some deep legal sh***! According to the New York Post, he’s being dragged to court and accused of sending pictures of his penis to his ex-employee.
Here is how it happened, according to the NYP;
The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, was filed by Brandyn Toney, a separate employee who was reportedly hired and worked with the longtime former outfielder at Investment and NFT companies “Centerblock Asset Management LLC” and “Proxime Corporation,” which are also being sued. Lofton founded and co-owned the companies.
Per the report, Lofton is accused of sending photos of his penis to various female subordinates, including one employee hired to monitor his Instagram account.
Lofton’s alleged s*xual discretions were the latest in a line of employee complaints.
Toney further accuses Lofton of not paying him a cent of his promised $85,000 salary, with payroll issues arising shortly after being hired. He is seeking damages in the suit.
After approaching the companies’ attorney with his complaints, and to make them aware of Lofton’s inappropriate advances, Toney claims he was fired two hours later.
“Lofton and his executive team thought they could fire our client for objecting to obvious s*xual misconduct and even thought they could get away with not paying him for his work,” Toney’s attorney, Ronald L. Zambrano, said, per TMZ. “That speaks to the arrogance and dysfunction at play every day at Centerblock and Proxime.”
Over a 17-year career in MLB, Lofton slashed .299/.372/.423 with the Guardians, Pirates, Giants, Phillies Braves, Rangers, Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Astros and White Sox. He was named to six All-Star Games, and added four gold gloves.
The interesting thing is it isn’t the women who are suing Lofton it is a man who claims to know what Lofton was sending the women. Lofton I will imagine will argue everything was consensual so there is no basis for the lawsuit and he was fired for other issues.
