Andrew Tate was arrested after a pizza box led to his location.
He is facing some serious charges.
It’s believed that his online spat with Greta Thunberg was the reason he was arrested – after he posed alongside a Romanian pizza box, which proved to authorities that he was still in the country.
Chicago-born Tate has been branded ‘the king of toxic masculinity’ for his online diatribes against women, which have gained him notoriety in the last year.
In a press release on Thursday, DICCOT – Romania’s police, crime, and investigation unit – said that they had raided five homes after obtaining search warrants.
The warrants were issued in connection to an ongoing investigation into an organized criminal group, human trafficking and rape.
Just yesterday, Tate found himself in hot water after getting into a Twitter spat with eco-activist Greta Thunberg.
He called her out – and shared a photo of himself filling up his Bugatti supercar, asking her to send him her email address so he could detail the ‘enormous emissions’ his gas-guzzling performance cars spewed out.
Tate tweeted on Tuesday: ‘Hello Greta Thunberg. I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and its enormous emissions.’
Miss Thunberg issued a brutal comeback in a tweet to her 4.9million followers yesterday, saying: ‘Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld***energy@getalife.com.’
Now, a playboy model called Carla Howe says that Tate tried to kidnap her.
Is she doing it for clout?
A former Playboy model has told friends how Andrew Tate tried to lure her to his Romanian hideaway.
Carla Howe, 32, said she was shocked and feels that she had a lucky escape after the disgraced influencer was arrested with his brother and subsequently two others in connection with alleged human trafficking and rape.
The blonde model was left ‘horrified’ as shocking details emerged of how Romanian prosecutors are investigating four suspects for allegedly keeping six women under ‘house arrest 24/7 like prisoners’.
She told friends: ‘He wanted me to go to Romania and I was tempted. It makes me think now how it could have gone terribly. I’d probably have ended up not leaving the house ever.’
Ms Howe confided how Tate showered her with compliments and romantic messages after they began to chat online when he sent a private message to her Instagram account in February.
But she claimed she quickly learned of a darker side of his character when his messages became ‘controlling and aggressive’.
Who do you believe?
