Packers are Disgusted With Aaron Rodgers and Will Move on With Jordan Love

2023 may be the start of a new era for the Green Bay Packers, and a new chapter for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has been with the packers for nearly two whole decades. In addition to bringing the team to multiple conference championship berths, he’s also won them a Super Bowl. By the off chance he chooses to retire this offseason, Rodgers will join former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (and likely others) as the only QBs to start and finish their careers with only one team.

For now, it’s looking like Rodgers will be shipped off to play for another team this fall. A pity that things had to end on a sour note between the two parties, but it’s been looking like Rodgers was on his way out for some time now. It’s been documented that Rodgers has not been on good terms with the Packers front office, and that he’s considered retirement on more than one occasion.

According to TPS, Packers insider Bob McGinn has reported that the team has completely soured on Rodgers and that they are “disgusted” with him.

“They are done with Rodgers,” he said on the Go Long Pod podcast.  “He’s not coming back. I mean, they’re disgusted with him, and they’re done with him. And they’re moving on.”

Unless they’re ready to see what they have in Jordan Love, the Packers will be joining multiple other teams this offseason in the hunt for their next franchise quarterback. Meanwhile, Rodgers will likely have multiple suitors who have rosters ready to win now. The New York Jets have consistently been linked to the quarterback, despite head coach Robert Saleh expressing confidence in Zach Wilson being part of the future game plan for the Jets offense.

Should Rodgers really be on his way out the door, it leaves the Vikings firmly in the driver’s seat of the NFC North with the Detroit Lions looking like they’re one QB away from being real contenders.
