Clippers Bones Hyland on The Team Plane Being Struck By Lightening

They say that traveling by plane is a lot safer than traveling by car but that doesn’t really make it any less scarier when there’s a lot of turbulence or any other kind of issue.

Especially when the plane gets struck by lightning.

The Clippers experienced this back in February. After departing from LAX, players started to notice that the plane started to shake while they were trying to nap. They heard loud noises and then a loud bang before the plane’s engine went silent. Players and staffers said it was one of the worst flights they ever experienced.

Luckily, the plane landed safely in Colorado and after they got off they noticed it was struck by lightening and Clippers guard Bones Hyland says he thought they were goners.

Probably one of the scariest moments of their lives.
