According to insider reports, the Miami Dolphins reportedly having second thoughts about Tua Tagovailoa as their franchise quarterback. Josina Anderson reports that she’s been told, “multiple people have been made aware within the #Dolphins organization that the team will explore all options at quarterback, per league source–this as the decision continues to linger on a long-term deal and the 5th-year option on Tua Tagovailoa.”

An NFL insider has shed some light on the general feeling over Tua Tagovailoa in Miami.
The quarterback was well on his way to establishing himself as a franchise star with the Dolphins last season but saw his efforts derailed by worrying head injuries and resulting prolonged absences.
While he looked to have put his struggles behind him, the QB ended up with other problems – more serious ones – which could have a direct impact on his future, not just in Miami, but in the NFL.
It appears Tua has recovered well and, recently revealed plans for judo lessons so he could learn how to take hits better and avoid hitting his head when falling.
The Dolphins might not be willing to gamble on the former Crimson Tide star and, according to Josina Anderson, are planning to explore all options for the position before deciding on a potential long-term deal for Tua.
The team has until May 1 to decide on whether or not they will pick the player’s fifth-year option up. While they don’t have any first-round picks for the upcoming draft, they could be monitoring a few situations around the league, including the one involving Lamar Jackson.
The likelihood is that they move forward with Tua, but it is in their best interest to make sure he’s the best they could do before committing long-term.
Tua is a good QB, but can you depend on him. Since his college days he has been hurt often and now he is coming off some serious brain injuries it would be smart of Dolphins to at least look around and see what they can do to improve the position. They had a Super Bowl caliber team when Tua was healthy.
