La’Darion Chandler Arrested After Rapping About Murdering Another Rapper That He Killed John McGee

There are a lot of people that think artists’ lyrics shouldn’t be used against them in crimes. Some believe that the lyrics should be used.

No matter which side you’re on, the fact is lyrics can be used against artists, and because of that, they should know they shouldn’t talk about any crimes in their songs.

Florida rapper La’Darion Chandler is learning that now.

Chandler was recently arrested for the murder of a man named John McGee in December of 2022. The two reportedly got into an argument that led to McGee getting shot. He was then taken to the hospital and refused treatment, leading to his passing after 24 days.

The Polk County sheriff, Grady Judd, spoke on how they caught Chandler using his music, saying he isn’t that good of a rapper but a stupid rapper, according to their experts.

He’s not much of a rapper. My rapper expert says he doesn’t sing well. He doesn’t move well. He’s just a terrible rapper. But, he’s a stupid rapper. He not only makes a rap video about shooting somebody, but he also admits to shooting the guy in the back. I’m a coward rapper, that’s what I am. Watch me shoot the guy in the back.”

Police caught him after he pulled a gun out on someone else near where he shot McGe. He’s been charged with first-degree murder.

This isn’t the first time a rapper has snitched on himself, but this is the first time I have ever heard of the cops telling them that they are trash. The fact that the cops have a “Rap expert” on staff  (likely just a black cop) is a little concerning, but whatever the case, if you did kill someone, you deserve to be in jail, rapper or not.
