How Many Teams Have Been Calling The Cardinals To See If They’d Trade The 3rd Pick In The NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is only a few weeks away, and the rumors will only heat up from here.

This is one of those drafts where we have no idea who will go, making things much more enjoyable. It also means the rumor mill is going to be working overtime.

According to ESPN, one of the things that are starting to pick up some steam is that some teams are asking the Cardinals about trading their pick. The Cardinals have the 3rd pick, which likely means that a team behind them wants to trade up for a QB.

At least six teams have inquired with the Arizona Cardinals about trading up for the third overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The Cardinals still are mulling whether to move the pick or make it, sources told ESPN.

Since the Cardinals already have a QB they believe in, they don’t need to draft one, so it could be in their best interest to move back a little. Especially if they can get the guy they like when they move back and get compensation for the pick.

Either way, seeing how things play out will be exciting.

That tells me at least six teams think Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, or Hendon Hooker are franchise QBs and are trying to jump in front of each other to get them. CJ Stroud and Bryce Young are the two safest picks in the NFL Draft. You will likely not be disappointed with those picks, even if there is some debate on how high both their ceilings are. Richardson, Levis, and Hooker are more wild cards, so you better be right, or you will be out of a job.
