NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson did not wake up to good news this week, in fact, he and his wife Chandra Janway are experiencing the most horrifying time of their lives after police were called to his parent-in-law’s home and found all three occupants of the house shot to death in a murder-suicide scene.
According to reports, Jimmie’s mother-in-law, Terry Janway, 68, shot and killed her husband, 69-year-old Jack Janway, and their grandson, 11-year-old Dalton Janway, and while police were entering the home after neighbors reported hearing a gunshot, Terry shot and killed herself before they could ask any question concerning the dreadful incident. Jimmie and his wife issued a communiqué saying less, but they asked for privacy during this gloomy period of theirs.
Police have released body cam footage of when they arrived at the scene and it is distressing.

NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws and their grandson were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Oklahoma last month, and now we are getting a first-hand account of that dreadful night.
On Tuesday, TMZ got ahold of police body cam footage of them at the home that shos them hearing a single gun shot as they got set to enter the home. It turns out it was Johnson’s mother-in-law killing herself.
Officers arrived and saw one person dead in a hallway inside the front door before they heard a gunshot and then found two others dead inside the home.
Police believe NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson’s mother-in-law Terry Janway shot and killed her husband Jack Janway and their grandson Dalton. The dead were identified as Jack Janway, 69; his wife, Terry Janway, 68; and their grandson, Dalton Janway, 11, Muskogee police said in a statement.
Terry and Jack are the parents of Johnson’s wife, Chandra.
Johnson’s team withdrew from a race scheduled for that week after the tragedy and said his family has asked for privacy.
NASCAR issued a statement at the time, saying, “We are saddened by the tragic deaths of members of Chandra Johnson’s family. The entire NASCAR family extends its deepest support and condolences during this difficult time to Chandra, Jimmie and the entire Johnson & Janway families.”
Jimmie Johnson, of the San Diego area, is a seven-time champion and the sport’s only driver to win five consecutive championships, which he did in 2006 through 2010.
What will make a 69-year-old grandma murder her grandson and her husband? Police have not yet made any connection to the gruesome murder, the tragic incident continues to be a mystery.
