World-renowned former wrestler Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool‘s summer beach getaway was nearly interrupted by an imminent threat in the form of a shark, but the wrestler stepped in to save the day and protected his wife from being a meal for the shark.
Mark Calaway made sure to step between the hungry shark and his wife until the shark found another way and allowed them to enjoy their romantic moment. McCool shared the video online and showered her husband with praise for stepping in to save her in the bizarre moment. According to McCool, she wasn’t huge enough to scare the shark away, but Undertaker sure was, even aquatic predators were scared of him hence the animal moving away once she called him for help.
According to the New York Post;
Wrestlers aren’t the only things The Undertaker can stand up to.
When duty called on Sunday, the legendary WWE fighter — whose real name is Mark Calaway —wasted no time protecting his wife, Michelle McCool, from a shark that was swimming dangerously close to her at the beach.
“I was simply enjoying a book on the beach when this ‘vegetation’ looked a lot like a shark…..so I text hubby @undertaker,” McCool tweeted Sunday to her followers.
“Kinda digging that last picture …A LOT #myprotector.”
McCool said she was surprised to see the shark so close to land.
“Guess I wasn’t big enough to scare him away but you are,” McCool said in a video that featured the predator lurking near the shore.
McCool, who has been married to The Undertaker, 58, since 2010, was a two-time WWE Divas champion, as well as a two-time WWE Women’s champion.
In an exclusive interview with The Post in 2020, she said she admires her husband’s strength behind the scenes.
“He’s more mentally tough than anybody I’ve ever met,” McCool said. “I think a lot of stubbornness plays into effect, too. I speak from experience from that too. But I just always tell him, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’m here for you. I’ll work out with you. I’ll cook healthy meals, whatever it takes to get you physically emotionally and mentally ready.’”
McCool initially joined WWE in 2004 after participating in the WWE Diva Search, first debuting with the character of a personal trainer before transitioning to a teacher.
“I was in that in-between era where we had to fight for what we wanted and we got very little at the time, so it was a constant fight,” McCool said. “It makes me proud that we didn’t just fold over. I think we did have a huge part in this whole evolution that happened. Being the first-ever Divas champion, the first one to win the Women’s and Divas championship was really cool.”
Well, A win for giant men! Imagine if McCool was married to Kevin Hart! The shark would have used both of them as lunch.
