Shannon Sharpe just can’t catch a break it seems as we see him on some show or the other. Sharpe just revealed that he would be joining the Colin Cowherd-founded podcast network The Volume with his Club Shay Shay show. Then, on Labor Day, he debuted as a regular on ESPN’s First Take.
The 55-year-old is currently working on adding another program to his resume in order to increase his role inside The Volume. He will be assisted in this endeavor by former All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson. Sharpe and Johnson’s new show would be aired after the NFL games on Sunday Nights will be called The Nightcap with Unc & Ocho . On ShayShayYoutube channel , the show will have 3 shows in a week . Sharpe said
“Ocho and I have had many debates off-camera throughout the years,” “We’ve decided to bring those on camera with Nightcap. Looking forward to debating my good friend Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson.”
Early results indicate that Sharpe’s exit from FS1 was a success. While Sharpe’s debut episode of First Take attracted more than 700,000 viewers, Skip Bayless’ redesigned Undisputed still has trouble with the ratings. Sharpe might be in for another blow with Johnson. The Club Shay Shay episode with Johnson is one of the most watched to date. The two have had a few amusing arguments on camera. Ochocinco said
“When Unc called me about the idea of expanding Club Shay Shay I thought to myself, ‘This is a no-brainer,’” “We just go together like a McDonald’s No. 1 with Coke, no ice. Hits every time. I’m extremely excited to join Club Shay Shay & the Volume on this new venture.”
This will be must-see TV.
