Davante Adams Could ‘Be Open To’ Rejoining the Packers, According to an NFL Reporter

Less than two years after being dealt to the Las Vegas Raiders, might Davante Adams return to the Green Bay Packers? It’s a situation that one Packers writer finds to be credible.

The future Hall of Famer was exchanged by Green Bay for first- and second-round draught picks in 2022 over the summer. Adams subsequently agreed to a lucrative $140 million, five-year deal with the Raiders.

Peter Bukowski thinks Devante could be on his way back

Peter Bukowski suggested that Adams might “consider” joining the NFL team that was instrumental in his growth into a star in a recent episode of the “Locked On Packers” podcast:

“Could there be a Davante Adams return? It’s a possibility. Perhaps he’d be open to it. Imagine if he sees Jordan Love excelling, putting on a show in Las Vegas, and Davante Adams thinks, ‘Hey, I’d love to come back, come get me.’”

For the Raiders last season, Adams put up impressive numbers (100 receptions, 1,516 yards, and 14 touchdowns), but the club struggled to find its rhythm and finished with a depressing 6-11 record.

Green Bay failed in their final season with Aaron Rodgers as well, ending 8-9, partly as a result of the lack of dynamic pass-catcher playmakers.

Does it make sense to Trade Adams for Raiders ?

Speculation regarding a possible deal for Adams will undoubtedly increase if the Raiders find themselves out of the postseason picture as the trade deadline approaches. In addition, given his hefty deal, it’s probable that the Raiders would prefer to look into trade possibilities in the summer.

The Packers will travel to face their longtime foe, the Chicago Bears, in what promises to be an entertaining matchup, while Adams’ Raiders will open their season with an away game against the Denver Broncos the following Sunday.
