Joe Namath Slams Robert Saleh for Sticking with Zach Wilson: “Its Disgusting!”

Legendary New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath attacked the failing AFC East squad, focusing on Robert Saleh, Joe Douglas, and quarterback Zach Wilson.

The Jets started the season with a dramatic overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills, but since then, they’ve suffered back-to-back demoralizing losses. Only 20 points have been scored by New York in its two losses, and Wilson has thrown just one touchdown and three interceptions throughout those games.

Namath criticized Wilson and the Jets while appearing on “The Michael Kay Show” on ESPN New York (h/t Rich Cimini). He demanded that the Jets sell the former No. 2 pick and charged Wilson with bailing out on a play:

“I didn’t take anything positive out of (Wilson’s play in Week 3) it. It was awful…You sit down? You sit down on a play? You go right down? What happened. I thought you’re trying to win and make plays. You quit on a play? What is going on? It’s disgusting.

I wouldn’t keep him. I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson…

He even went at HC saying,

“These guys aren’t picking the right players. They aren’t doing a good job of coaching. It’s evident. I mean, you’ve got to look and see. If you have an eye for football at all you see things are haywire. It’s too crazy. They need to fix it and that’s getting rid of a lot of people and bringing new ones in…

They need to make major changes, from top to bottom.”

You can see the old man rant below

Jets will be facing Travis Kelce and his Chiefs who themselves are fresh of the back from a victory over Bears. Jets will try and look to end the losing streak as they live on without Aaron Rodgers.
