Oscar De La Hoya believes Canelo Alvarez can’t outwork Terence Crawford if the two ever crosses path inside the boxing ring.
Fresh off a win over Errol Spence Jr, Terence Crawford expressed his interest in facing Canelo Alvarez somewhere down the line. He also desired to face the winner of Canelo vs Charlo for the undisputed super middleweight belts.
Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez also gave a green signal to the potential fight from his end. Now that Canelo vs Crawford looks possible to happen, Golden Boy Promoter Oscar De La Hoya gave his honest opinion on the outcome.
He said, “Terence Crawford will beat Canelo anytime, anytime.”
“I said before, the big talented man will always beat the small talented fighter but Terence Crawford isn’t small. Terence Crawford is a big guy. I mean he can walk around at 168 if he wants to.”
“If this fight is made at 164, Terence Crawford all day. But just with the skill set alone, Terence Crawford is a master. He will make Canelo look like a child.”
Oscar De La Hoya is the former promoter of Canelo Alvarez. He shared a great bond with the Mexican boxer unless the two split up. Since then, they have been into several verbal banters. Although De La Hoya’s recent predictions on Canelo vs Charlo was professional, it still reflected that he is no longer on Alvarez’s side.

What’s Next For Canelo Alvarez?
After a successful tenure at the Matchroom Promotions, Canelo Alvarez has signed a three-fight deal with the PBC.
He will begin the deal by defending the undisputed 168 lbs belt against Jermell Charlo on September 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s been more than a year since Canelo Alvarez won a fight via KO.
His upcoming clash will see him go against an elite world champion Charlo, who has lost only once as a professional and has avenged that defeat too. He can offer a tough fight to the Mexican prodigy, especially with all four super middleweight titles on the line.
