Early Monday morning, Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter was arrested on domestic assault charges in New York City. The victim of the alleged assault is Porter’s girlfriend, a WNBA player. The incident occurred at the Millennium Hotel in Times Square, where the couple was staying. According to police sources, Porter returned to the hotel late at night after an evening out and the victim was upset with him for returning at such a late hour. She locked the door, but Porter was able to gain entry with the assistance of hotel security. Once inside, Porter is accused of assaulting the woman. The extent of her injuries is currently unknown. Porter is currently in custody at the NYPD’s 17th precinct in Midtown.
