Many people would love to meet Lionel Messi, the biggest figure in Soccer right now, but perhaps avoid doing so on the pitch.
A supporter attempted to touch Messi as he took the pitch for Inter Miami vs LAFC during a Major League Soccer match. When the fan approached Messi, his personal bodyguard sprinted onto the pitch to stop him and assist security in escorting him out.

Although it appears strange that the guard, a former Navy SEAL and MMA fighter, handled the fan with such caution after touching the football player, the story serves as a reminder that supporters shouldn’t rush onto the pitch to meet their idols and heroes. Though the fan should be grateful he didn’t hurt him, his guard should be commended for how he handled the issue.
Messi has received a great deal of attention since joining Inter Miami. He offers the United States a significant boost in football, and fans and celebrities pack stadiums to watch him play. Games and venues are packed out as a result.
