Drug dealer Eric Thomas got arrested immediately after he stupidly called 911 and lodged a complaint about someone stealing his meager $10 while selling marijuana. Is this some sort of madness or he was very high on crack?
How would you be selling marijuana illegally and then call the cops and complain about someone stealing your $10?
A Florida drug dealer who was illegally selling marijuana may have been high on his own supply when he called police to complain that a customer had stolen $10 from him.
Eric Thomas, 33, showed a touching faith in law enforcement when he ‘called police in reference to a theft’ in Largo near Tampa Bay on Friday.
‘Once police made contact with him he stated he was selling marijuana, and someone stole $10 from him while attempting to sell it,’ officers recorded.
Sadly for the affronted victim, they had to inform him that the sale of marijuana is illegal in the Sunshine State, as is possession of the two packets of cocaine they found in his wallet.
‘The defendant had 11 baggies in his pocket while walking up to the officers,’ his arrest affidavit recorded.
‘He was arrested for his and, while performing a search of his person, two baggies with a white powdery substance which tested positive for cocaine, were located in his wallet.’
Earlier this year, two bungling burglars were arrested after one of them made a 911 call to ask Florida police to help them move stolen belongings from a home they had broken into.
Police arrived at a home in Kissimmee to find Martin Gonzalez-Garcia and his girlfriend Ashializ Roldan-Oscacio who they were looking for after thefts at a nearby from a nearby Dollar store.
Roldan-Oscacio told them that she wanted their help to move their stuff from the squatted property and asked if they could get a ride to the airport so they could spend the weekend in New York, the sheriff’s office said.
‘Deputies DID help them with their belongings, and DID give them a ride, but it wasn’t to the airport … it was to the Polk Pokey,’ Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
‘And they are welcome to stay there all weekend long. The Polk Pokey is much better than New York anyway.’
In August last year Georgia murder suspect Antoine Sims was arrested after calling police on a Kennesaw McDonalds manager who he accused of serving cold fries.
Sims, 24, of Lawrenceville was wearing an ankle monitor at the time and had an outstanding warrant for for failing to appear in court over a 2018 homicide.
‘We tried to order on the little box thing, and he said that wasn’t working,’ Sims complained to police.
‘We ordered the food, but he couldn’t print out the receipt.’
‘So I guess our order was called, but we don’t even know our order number, so now our food is sitting there cold.’
Thomas was already facing drug charges after emptying seven Ziploc bags of marijuana into a clear plastic tray at a court security checkpoint.
He is now in the Pinellas County Jail on a $7,000 bond charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana with intent.
When people get high they end up doing crazy things and getting themselves in trouble with the law. Now, Eric Thomas is in the grips of the police for calling 911 and complaining about someone stealing his $10 while illegally selling marijuana.
