This season, penalties have taken a big toll on the running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jaylen Warren‘s contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers is only $870,000 this season, far less than that of many NFL starters. However, if he hadn’t been the second-most fined player in the league this season, his salary wouldn’t really be a talking topic.
The NFL has fined Warren $97,112 so far in 2023 for plays made during games. He wasn’t tagged in-game for any of those fines. Nevertheless, the league fined each infraction more than $48,000.
This season, Warren accounts for about half of the entire running back workload.

Kwon Alexander, an inside linebacker for the Steelers, has been fined $87,418 this season, making him the fourth most in the league. This season, Pittsburgh signed the seasoned linebacker to a $1.1 million contract.
Warren and Alexander have led the Steelers in the team’s more than $800,000 in fines this season. Two more players’ punishments from 2023 were added to their list this past week.
