Authorities claim that on September 16, his mother Myrdle Brown’s body was discovered in a stream bed close to the Maywood, Illinois, suburb where she lived with her son. As he claimed on Instagram that the story of his mother’s murder was fabricated, the 35-year-old went missing and fled to Mexico.
Next, he declared that on “Bob Marley’s death day,” the agency had paid him a “unwarranted” visit. He further said that he was “kidnapped” twice by the Maywood Police Department.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in Illinois, and after attempting to enter the country again through Mexico, the San Diego Police Department Threat Management Unit, along with many other local and federal authorities, took him into custody.
At the time, he was spotted fighting with two officers and shouting loudly while seated in a plane bound for Tijuana.
After playing for Notre Dame in college, Sergio Brown was not selected in the NFL Draft. After signing with the New England Patriots in 2010, Brown spent six seasons playing in the NFL.
In the NFL, Brown spent seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Patriots. It was in 2016 that he made his league debut.
