It’s been over two years since Conor McGregor had his last appearance in the UFC. Following consecutive stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264, the Irishman hasn’t confirmed his comeback officially.

‘Notorious’ recently hinted at working on a potential crossover fight against Manny Pacquiao in Saudi. Meanwhile, his UFC return is also in the works with Michael Chandler looking like a viable opponent.

Amidst such a long hiatus and an unresolved comeback plan, Conor McGregor remains the biggest draw of the UFC. Veteran MMA star Chuck Liddell recently addressed McGregor’s superstardom in a chat with US comedian Bill Murray.

Liddell said, “He [Conor McGregor] is a smaller weight class. He fights a lot smaller- 145s and 155s.”

“Marketing, he was exciting, he won when he needed to, he won excitingly, knocked guys out. He had a personality, and he was pushing it. He got huge. He beat some bad guys… He beat [Jose Aldo], knocked him out in the first round. Conor got him mad talking trash before the fight, he ran right across the ring, got knocked out.”

Conor McGregor has lost only to three men in the UFC- Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier (2X).  His last professional win came against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January, 2020.
