The Baltimore Ravens have made an intriguing quarterback change in an attempt to improve their prospects of winning the Super Bowl as the postseason draws near.
Malik Cunningham will be reunited with his college buddy Lamar Jackson as he has signed with the Ravens after being cut from the New England Patriots practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The undrafted rookie is headed to the playoffs with the Ravens after a challenging season with the Pats.
“I wanted to thank Mr Kraft and Coach Belichick for giving me [the] opportunity to play with the Patriots. In a way learned a lot from them,” he told Schefter.
“I want to be a coach one day, so I would take notes from coach Belichick because he’s one of the greatest of all time. I had great teammates in New England and built relationships that will last a lifetime. But I just feel like this is a good opportunity for me and I’m excited to be a Baltimore Raven.”

Although Cunningham can also play wide receiver, it’s unclear if Baltimore intends to use him primarily as a quarterback or a wide receiver. Since that he can play wideout and quarterback, it’s plausible that they want to use him on gadget plays.
