Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are verbally aligned to face each other in the UFC. The two have also competed as coaches in the TUF season 21, citing an in-cage clash in the future. McGregor looks likely to make his comeback in 2024 for a much-awaited fight.

While Michael Chandler is unofficially the one to face him, the Irishman has kept his options open for others. Conor McGregor’s manager Audie Attar has also claimed to be looking at other names for his client, instead of sticking just at ‘Iron’ Chandler.

While Conor McGregor is the biggest PPV draw in the promotion, it’s obvious that many fighters would love to go against him for a huge payday. While this puts Michael Chandler’s dream fight in jeopardy, he doesn’t seem much bothered about it.

Michael Chandler believes he is still the only fighter who would face Conor McGregor on the latter’s UFC return, citing Audie Attar’s claims to be false and manipulative.

In a major confession on the recent episode of his podcast, Michael Chandler said, “Nobody is better at the PR game and the manipulation of the headlines and getting in the headlines than Conor and his team. That’s why you see them, Audie Attar a couple of days ago – [Conor McGregor’s] manager – was talking about, ‘Yeah Chandler is probably the most likely opponent. But there’s still other options out there.’ No, there’s not any other options out there, Audie.”
