A North Carolina mom suspected his son of having a thing to do with 26-year-old South Mecklenburg High School teacher Gabriela Cartaya-Neufeld and the only way to be sure and catch them was using the controversial tracking app Life 360.
Teacher-student affairs are becoming rampant lately and parents should be on the guard and look out for suspicions. This is unacceptable!
After taking several pictures of the educator’s vehicle and license plate, the shocked mother called police to the scene and Cartaya-Neufeld was taken into custody.
The parent, police said, had heard rumors of her son’s illicit relationship previously and was already on high alert before the telltale missed practice.
Cartaya-Neufeld, a science teacher, trysted with the teen in her car, inside his mother’s home and at her own residence, prosecutors said.
Rumors of the illicit union had also been flying around the school for months prior to the arrest, prompting administrators to question both the teen and his teacher, the district attorney said at Cartaya-Neufeld’s arraignment.
Gabriela Cartaya-Neufeld has been charged with five counts of felony sexual activity with a student by a teacher.
The mom was smart enough to use a tracker to confirm the rumors of a romance between her son and the teacher Gabriela Cartaya-Neufeld. There would be less of such cases if all parents would be this vigilant.
