Maxx Crosby didn’t take long to share his thoughts on Friday’s major coaching announcement by the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders named interim head coach Antonio Pierce as their permanent HC on Friday, as many had predicted. After Josh McDaniels was benched after a 3-5 start, Pierce guided the Raiders to a 5-4 victory.
On X/Twitter, Crosby responded to the news with these two words, expressing how much he wanted Pierce to stay:
Let’s Work!! 🦅🏴☠️

Under Pierce’s leadership, the Raiders showed remarkable progress. After a lackluster start under McDaniels, Pierce was commended for his extraordinary leadership abilities and for giving the Raiders newfound hope.
Owner Mark Davis famously broke up with interim head coach Rich Bisaccia two years ago after the latter guided Vegas to ten victories and a postseason berth. Given how disastrous it was for Davis to have hired McDaniels to replace Bisaccia, it makes sense that he was reluctant to lose Pierce, another productive interim head coach.
