Although Kevin Durant goes by numerous monikers, “The Slim Reaper” is the one that gives opponents the greatest amount of terror. The “Slim Reaper” came into action with 1.6 seconds left to help the Phoenix Suns defeat the Chicago Bulls, 115-113.
The Bulls lost heartbreakingly since they had a lead of up to 23 points going into the second half, only for the Suns to blow it all away. The Suns improved to 25-18 after winning six straight games, while Chicago fell to 21-24.
The Shot of the match
With eight minutes remaining in the third quarter, DeMar DeRozan made a three-pointer that put the Suns behind 79-56. Durant’s game-winning shot put an end to the Suns’ explosive rally. Phoenix started their comeback towards the end of the third quarter, closing the gap to seven points, 90-83, and eventually taking the lead, 95-94, thanks to a Durant floater.
With 49 seconds left, DeRozan made a midrange jumper to give the Bulls a 111-110 lead. The game was tight as the two teams exchanged big shots after great shots. After Durant made a triple to put the Suns ahead 113-110, DeRozan made a short jumper to knot the score at 113-all with just 22 seconds remaining in the game.

This created the opportunity for Durant to make the game’s biggest shot, a tough jumper that was blocked by Patrick Williams and attempted to be swatted away by Alex Caruso behind him.
One night after scoring 40 points against the Indiana Pacers, Durant ended with 43 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.

As Coby White said,
“Kevin Durant was Kevin Durant,” “Yeah — he’s tough.”
