UFC 300 will be having multiple world title fights and Dana White has already announced the first one. The April PPV will see Zhang Weili defend her women’s strawweight title against Yan Xionan. Weili is the first fighter from China to have held the UFC world title.
Her upcoming title defense would ensure that the UFC women’s strawweight belt remains in China no matter who wins. Theis is the first time that two Chinese contenders will face off for a world tile and Dana White chose to put the show at UFC 300.
The American MMA promotion can now expect massive viewership from China as two of their finest fighters are set to lock horns. Turning to social media, Dana White announced the fight, sending several fans inti a frenzy.
The UFC CEO said, “Aug. 31, 2019, history was made when Zhang Weili defeated Jessica Andrade to become the first Chinese champion in UFC history. Guess what, five years later, we will see history being made again as Zhang Weili faces Yan Xianon for the strawweight title at UFC 300. This is the first time two Chinese contenders have faced off for a world title.”
17-3 (1 NC) as a pro, Yan suffered her two career losses in the UFC against Carla Esparza and Mariana Rodriguez. However, she knocked out Jessica Andrade in her latest appearance to earn the title shot. It remains to be seen how she performs against Zhang Weili, who is 24-3 as a pro.

Dana White Is Trying to Build a Sensational UFC 300
There are several rumors that UFC 300 shall have three title fights. While Zhang vs Weili is confirmed, Leon Edwards looks likely to defend his welterweight belt against Belal Muhammad. That said, Danas White is yet to officially confirm, it from his end.
Charles Oliveira vs Aran Tsarukyan has also been added to the UFC 300 card and the winner of the fight will be eligible for the lightweight title shot. The announced bouts for the card so far are:- Aljamain Sterling vs Calvin Kattar at 1456 lbs (featherweight), Jiro Prochazka vs Aleksandar Rakic at 205 lbs (light heavyweight), and Bo Nickal vs Cody Brundage at 185 lbs (middleweight).
