An unidentified woman filed a lawsuit against Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard last year. She had alleged that the two-time All-Pro player misled her and caused her genital herpes through negligence. The claim was later abandoned. The woman was able to reopen the lawsuit by filing a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice.
According to a new complaint, one of the team’s players gave his ex-girlfriend genital herpes without disclosing to her that he was infected.
The plaintiff alleges that when she observed symptoms of infection on the Miami Dolphins player in issue, both parties had the required testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STIs). Both of them tested positive for oral and genital herpes, according to the lawsuit.
