The news of Jason Kelce‘s retirement dominated sports journals a month ago. The media and fans honored the legendary center of the Philadelphia Eagles over his 13-year career while bidding him farewell. The athlete himself has questioned all of that today, implying that he may play again next season.
Since being selected by Philadelphia in the sixth round of the 2011 draft, the elder Kelce has been a mainstay on the offensive line. During that period, Jason has established a career that will undoubtedly propel him to the Hall of Fame upon his eligibility, garnering the admiration of both allies and adversaries in the process.

But following a 13-year career, it appeared that the athlete was overwhelmed by the defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the most recent Wild Card Round. In the locker room at Raymond James Stadium, behind closed doors, the great center would have informed his teammates that he was retiring after the game.

In an interview with Adam Lefkoe and Shaquille O’Neal for “The Big Podcast,” Kelce revealed that he may be retiring: “Still figuring it out. I think if I still want to play, I’m going to play. I think right now we’re not far enough away from the last game.” “So I’m just going to take some time, rest, recover, and then figure it out. I think I’ll have an answer in the next couple of weeks,” “If it was a number one school in Philadelphia, I might take it. I’m Philly right now…Cleveland Heights would be something, though. NFL, that’s a big-time commitment. College, no. Not interested,”
