With the Philadelphia Eagles, Kellen Moore, a former offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, will now oversee the offense. Jason Kelce, center, isn’t planning on ending the rivalry anytime soon.
Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles is considering retirement, but there will be an offensive coordinator change that could motivate him to come back.
Philadelphia made the decision to make a change at both coordinator positions after struggling mightily in the second half of the season, appointing Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator and Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator.
Naturally, Moore had four seasons as the offensive coordinator in 2018 after serving as the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys for one season. He’ll now try to assist Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles, in reaching his Super Bowl goals again.
Jason Kelce ready to troll Kellen Moore
Kelce isn’t quite ready to let go of Moore’s time with the Cowboys. Jason discussed Moore’s last play in Dallas on his podcast, “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

He’s talking about a play from the Cowboys’ 2022 Divisional Round defeat to the 49ers in San Francisco. With less than a minute left and no timeouts, Dallas was down 19–12 and in full panic mode. With 76 yards and six seconds left on their final play, Moore called a trick play.
Famously, a linebacker blew up running back Ezekiel Elliott as soon as he snapped the ball as center, thwarting the play. Dallas missed a chance to tie the game by 68 yards.

“There’s a lot of people – and I think looking back, ourselves – that realize that we could have potentially been a little more creative offensively,” Kelce said. “And I think Kellen will bring a lot of that. He did it in Dallas, he did it I’m sure this past year on the Chargers … “Everyone wants to bring up the Ezekiel Elliott snapping the ball-type thing. That creativity didn’t work on that play, but it’s not always gonna work … I still wanna know what was gonna happen. I can’t wait to ask him!”
The Eagles have the skill and maybe the coaching to be competitive in the NFC East even though their marriage may not be ideal.
