Coby is the Clippers star’s choice for this year’s MIP award. Chris Paul, a former player for the Golden State Warriors, endorsed Coby White last week for the Most Valuable Player award. Because of the effort he put in during the summer, CP3 thinks his mentee should be the recipient of the award.
It appears that the Chicago Bulls guard received additional backing from a different All-Star in order to receive the MIP award.
Joining the Coby White MIP train is Paul George
Paul George, a player with the Los Angeles Clippers, voted for Coby to win the Most Improved award in a recent episode of his podcast, Podcast P.
Out of the three top contenders for the MIP—White, Tyrese Maxey, and Jalen Johnson—PG13 selected the former phenom from North Carolina because he feels it finally had an impact in the year of opportunity he stole from Chicago. George said : “Imma go Coby just because of what he’s doing,”. “I think this is the turning point, like, he’s [got paid]. He’s going to be like a figure now. He’s gonna be a player. Like years that come, he’s turned the corner. He understands how to score, how to be efficient, how to be an NBA player and play at a high level.“This is the Coby White you’ll see going for it. So I would say Most Improved goes to Coby White.”
Coby is making enormous progress
PG is experienced in evaluating a player’s growth, having won the award for Most Improved Player before. He believes that Coby, who is 23 years old, has made great progress from the previous seasons.
Coby has improved significantly this season as compared to last year. With an average of 19.6 points, 5.2 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 38.8 percent three-point shooting per game, he is enjoying the finest statistical campaign of his career.

PG concluded : “When you talk about growth right now, who grew from the previous year ‘til now, I think Coby has made that jump. … I just think Coby’s jump is little higher [over other else],”
