LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers talked following their defeat by the Golden State Warriors.
After a thrilling game on Saturday night between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State emerged victorious to reclaim the ninth seed. This game had a lot of turmoil towards the end, with long reviews and shot clock issues resulting in an underwhelming conclusion to an otherwise entertaining match.
LeBron James reaction to the dubious call by reff
One of the lengthy replays was a three-point basket by LeBron James that was eventually ruled invalid by the officials for having his foot out of bounds. James responded by saying that he had never seen that called in that manner. James said,
“I’ve never seen that be called before like that,” “In that particular time. That was kind of weird. Yeah, it took some momentum away.”

James was speaking of the officials’ ability to review a play from multiple possessions before, which is exactly what transpired in this case. When questioned about the particular play in a Southern California News Group Pool Report, Crew Chief David Guthrie said the following:
“James’ left foot is out of bounds as he beings to shoot. Yes, it is reviewable at that time. The rule is Rule 13, Section II(f)(3): Whether the shooter committed a boundary line violation, the replay center official will only look at the position of the player’s feet at the moment they touch the floor immediately prior to the release of the shot. This can be applied during other replay triggers as well.”
