The Houston Rockets defeated the San Antonio Spurs by playing a rugged brand of basketball. After defeating the San Antonio Spurs 114-101 at home on Tuesday, the Houston Rockets are now riding high.
Around 5:24 into the third quarter, Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan tripped Rockets guard Amen Thompson. This incident led to some angry exchanges, the coaching staff removing the benches, and both young players receiving technical fouls. This was arguably the game’s turning moment.

Even though they were ahead by one point at that point, the Rockets ultimately won by 13. Gregg said,
“They (Houston) deserve a lot of credit,” “They were physical from the get-go until the end of the game. They came after it. They put us in mud.”
Over the past several games, the Rockets’ physicality has been a recurring theme. They’ve grown enraged with their rivals. Devin Booker, a player for the Phoenix Suns, and youngster Cam Whitmore got into an altercation on Thursday. Then, on Saturday, Jalen Green and Bradley Beal seemed chummy. And now, with Thompson and Sochan, the same thing takes place here.
The Rockets are playing with a sense of urgency because they know that in order to have a chance at the postseason, they must play nearly flawlessly in the last 20 games. The young Rockets are creating a brand that warns opposing teams not to meddle with them.
Tonight marks the Rockets’ return to action as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
