The representative for LeBron James recently discussed Bronny‘s future.
Many people believe that Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, would join the NBA sooner rather than later. His freshman year at USC is already well underway.
Rumors had claimed that LeBron would follow Bronny wherever he went so he could team up with his kid in the NBA, even before the young James had even put on his Trojans uniform.
Even at this stage of his career, any team would naturally find it appealing to sign LeBron James, but as agent Rich Paul and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently discussed, picking Bronny does not equate to signing LeBron.
Update on Bronny James
“Paul said, the right team doesn’t necessarily equate to Bronny James landing on a roster with his father — although LeBron James would be “head over heels excited if that were to happen organically,” Paul added.
“LeBron wants Bronny to be his own man,” Paul told ESPN.
Paul also included an intriguing tip, saying that Bronny may not think about visiting the NBA in 2024, and it’s not because he’s falling in the rankings. Paul said,
“I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,”
The Detroit Pistons’ Effect
The Pistons are obviously going to receive a high lottery selection, if not the No. 1 choice, as they are now way out of the playoff race. Even though Bronny James was a standout player in his high school class the previous season, his collegiate career has taken a different turn.
James is currently difficult to recommend as a lottery pick, much less a top choice.
