A new quarterback has joined the Commanders. Jeff Driskel, a veteran, has joined the Washington club, the team announced on Monday.
Driskel, a 2016 sixth-round selection, has played in 24 games for the Bengals, Lions, Broncos, Texans, and Browns, making 12 starts. When the Browns faced Cincinnati in Week 18 of 2023, they had already secured the No. 5 seed in the AFC. He finished 13 of 26 throws for 166 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
After Marcus Mariota and Jake Fromm, Driskel is the third quarterback on the Washington team. Later this month, it is also widely anticipated that the Commanders would choose a quarterback at No. 2 overall.
With Dan Quinn as its new head coach, Washington will kick off its offseason program on Tuesday.
