After doing it once previously, many people questioned why Tom Brady wasn’t able to accomplish it again. In recent weeks, Brady has publicly said that he might come out of retirement for a second time in the NFL. However, a new rumor that surfaced after the 2024 draft raises questions about whether the iconic quarterback will truly play this coming season.
Brady is irritated with the lengthy process required to obtain a share of the Las Vegas Raiders, who did not take a strong stance in the draft to choose a quarterback this year.
Though the 46-year-old is about to start a lucrative broadcasting career with FOX, it is unlikely that he will save the Raiders if they find themselves in need of a reliable starting quarterback in the competitive AFC West.
Tom Brady must train for the entire offseason
Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that Brady “likely not” going to try to make another NFL comeback this decade, or at least not at this time. Despite the Raiders’ need for a new signal-caller, Graziano believes that Brady’s lack of preparation for a comeback to the NFL this offseason is the best clue that the seven-time Super Bowl winner is taking his retirement more seriously.

Brady first announced his retirement after the 2021 NFL season, but he later decided to come back for 2022 and announced his retirement following that season. Since then, Brady has become friends with Raiders owner Mark Davis, and on Thursday night, he watched as the team selected tight end Brock Bowers, who is considered one of the top offensive talents in the selection, at the 13th overall pick. With veteran Gardner Minshew and previous fourth-round pick Aidan O’Connell as its quarterback options heading into the 2024 season, Las Vegas is perceived by many as lacking in a division that boasts Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes.
But Graziano conjectured that if the Raiders truly suffer in head coach Antonio Pierce’s first full season, Brady might be lured back in the middle of the season. And only in Las Vegas would that come back. The teams that Brady once played for, the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have begun new eras. The Bucs re-signed Baker Mayfield to a three-year contract this spring, while New England chose Drake Maye with the third overall pick in this year’s draft.

โThatโs the GOAT. Any QB has to be a Tom Brady fan. Just what he did. Theyโre already talking about June 12th is going to be sold out for Tom and the celebration for him. Iโll be honored to meet him and pick his brain. Heโs the greatest to ever do it.โ pic.twitter.com/WlDDSfupP0
