After spending enough time in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers has experienced both its highs and lows. The seasoned quarterback has been receptive to new experiences and endeavors to enhance his development on both a personal and professional level. But the quarterback, who appeared to see it all, came to learn that a lot was going on within his own club that he was unaware of.
Recently, Rodgers disclosed to Tucker Carlson that he and his colleagues had been impacted by a drug issue. He talked about the number of players using Percocet, emphasizing the problem’s pervasiveness in the league. According to Rodgers,
“Like there was a med problem in the league for a while. Guys used to get it was easy to get Vicodin, Percocets, that kind of stuff. Then there was an issue at one of the teams and they kind of changed the policy, which is better now.” He further added, “But that was an issue. I think some of the addiction to some of that stuff that some of my teammates had.”
In order to initiate this discourse, Aaron Rodgers brought up the subject of player health and noted a favorable change in the league’s attitude to resolving this prescription issue. He also said that because there is now more awareness and care for players’ well-being, not as many athletes deal with the same problems as in the past. For certain players, though, particularly one of his own colleagues, things were really difficult.
