In the end, the Boston Celtics overcame the Indiana Pacers to make it to the NBA Finals. Even though the Pacers had their work cut out for them over the course of the four games, Jaylen Brown was nonetheless impressed by their efforts on the hardwood court. In fact, he went so far as to say in an earlier interview that some players were “turning into Michael Jordan.” But to whom specifically was he referring?
The solution was recently made public by Jaylen Brown, who disclosed it at the press conference following Game 4. Jaylen said,
“Jaylen Brown: When I was talking about guys being Michael Jordan, TJ McConnell was who I was talking about.”

This comes after, despite the Celtics’ 114-111 victory in Game 3, Brown made an odd statement regarding the Indiana Pacers. He declared,
“They were shooting the ball well. Some of those guys turned into f**king Michael Jordan or whatever… We just couldn’t figure it out.”
How much trouble did TJ McConnell give Jaylen Brown ?
Throughout the series, TJ McConnell was a key component of the Indiana Pacers‘ offensive setup. But the game Jaylen Brown was referring to, Game 3, was his finest scoring effort. TJ had a fantastic game, scoring 23 points off the bench while also grabbing 9 rebounds, dishing out six assists, and stealing one. Unfortunately, the Pacers were unable to win that game.
The Indiana Pacers’ series against the Boston Celtics wasn’t the most straightforward. Due to Tyrese Haliburton’s injury, players such as Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam were forced to shoulder more of the offensive burden. This eventually got to be a little too much for the group to manage.
All four games were close calls, with the outcome remaining unpredictable until the very last moments, even though the Pacers lost the series. Indiana will undoubtedly find it difficult to accept this defeat. However, considering how well the players played, this youthful Pacers team has a bright future.
