The One Superstar Draymond Green Would Like to Play With

Draymond Green and Shaquille O’Neal are two of the most vocal NBA players ever. There were therefore sure to be some amazing arguments and conversations when the two got together for the most recent episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq. O’Neal seized the chance to ask Green, who is currently an NBA player, who he would most like to play with as he knew Green would be direct and honest. Not unexpected, the Warriors forward responded to LeBron James right away. He explained why by saying,

“I would’ve loved to play with LeBron. Not necessarily I want to be on his NBA team. But I would’ve loved the opportunity to play together. Because I want to see how his mind works on a day-to-day basis in the basketball setting… When I look at guys with IQ, I think that’s one of the best things about Bron. His IQ. And I respect that.”

Players mentioned by Draymond Green

The only other players Green mentioned that he would have loved to play with were Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O’Neal.

When the Lakers legend was selected in 2012, he was nearing the end of his career, although the other three had already retired when the Warriors star joined the league.

In addition, Green stated that he thought he would be able to fulfill his ambition of competing with James in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris; however, the selection committee for Team USA turned down the Warriors star.

A few years ago, the 34-year-old probably wouldn’t have included James as one of his dream teammates, but after his stint on The Shop in 2017, they have developed a close relationship. The connection between Green and the Lakers player was further strengthened by Rich Paul and Maverick Carter, the latter’s longstanding business associates who guided the forward in his endeavors.
