This year, Caitlin Clark and Caleb Williams have emerged as outstanding rookies for both the WNBA and the NFL. The most anticipated prospects leading up to their respective Drafts were both rookies. They have the power to make a significant difference in their franchises. Who, though, can have the better opening season out of the two? Caleb Williams is where analyst Rich Eisen is leaning.
Eisen talked about who is most likely to have a higher winning percentage at the conclusion of their individual seasons on his show. Eisen knew the answer to that. He declared,
“I’ll take Caleb Williams because he’s on a better team from what you could see so far.”
Eisen then went on to provide an objective review of the current data to support his position. Clark has already participated in five of her forty games and lost each of them, whilst Williams and the Bears have not yet begun their NFL campaign.
The Indiana guard is losing and has only played ten percent of her games. She also has a small group of supporters on her team. However, Caleb Williams currently possesses the mathematical ability to win each of his 17 games. The recently published NFL schedule is another item to think about.
The Bears would need to lose their first two games in order for Williams’ record to catch up to Clark’s current record. According to the schedule, they will play the Titans and the Texans. Williams has a good chance of beginning his debut season with a better record against opponents like these.
Regarding Eisen’s perspective, it is also important to analyze Clark’s own performance. The former college star has to admit that life as a professional athlete has not been easy.
