This off-season hasn’t gone well for the Chiefs or any of their players. The reigning champions are perpetually put in difficult circumstances. It has now been announced that during practice, their backup linebacker, BJ Thompson, experienced a heart attack.
Thompson experienced a cardiac attack following a seizure. Fans throughout the NFL are surprised and alarmed by the incident. Supporters united and offered him sincere prayers. Following his hasty admission to a nearby hospital, Thompson’s health is currently stable. Thompson was treated by the Chiefs’ medical personnel and trainers until paramedics arrived, according to AP. The last scheduled voluntary training session for the team has been moved to Friday.
The situation reminds me of Damar Hamlin’s, who had to be revived after suffering a heart attack during the game. College athlete A.J. Amitral passed away tragically more than a month ago; his cause of death is unknown, though there were rumors that he had a heart attack. He was going to play in the NFL soon. Is this a regrettable habit that young athletes are starting to adopt?
