The Late Robin Williams Is Accused by Joe Rogan of Stealing Jokes

Joe Rogan has accused others of stealing jokes before; in the past, he challenged Carlos Mencia in front of a crowd and was shunned for years as a result. Joe Rogan is taking on the late great Robin Williams in the same way that he did before he became the well-known and influential media personality that he is now. Recently, Joe Rogan came out and accused Robin of stealing jokes and utilizing them in talk shows without getting permission. Robin Williams has previously been charged with this activity.

Robin Williams was an incredible actor

In his defense, the quickness with which Robin delivered his gags was what made him a standout comedian. He produced so much content over the years that he must have somehow come to believe that taking it was OK. However, nothing made stealing acceptable.

Joe stated the following:

“I think (Robin) wanted to kill more than he wanted to be ethical at any cost. Part of that manic sort of style is this constant need to have a bit about anything that you’re talking about ever. Killing was more important, filling that hole inside of him was more important than anything. So he would just do other people’s stuff. Sam Kinison got mad at him. If you ask any of those comics from back then, there’s always instances of Robin going on a talk show and doing your bit. Material theft is a weird thing that people do, where they try to pawn off other people’s bits as their own. It’s a vampire thing because you’re around all these creative people and you’re just stealing a little bit from this guy and a little bit from that guy.

Is Robin Williams being disrespected by Joe Rogan?

It says far more about Joe Rogan than it does about the deceased Robin Williams that he is making these comments about. We are discussing an Academy Award winner whose versatility as a performer far outclassed that of the great majority of his contemporaries. Indeed, when people launch into venomous tirades against Williams, there may be a hint of jealousy.

However, it is undoubtedly unacceptable to speak behind someone’s back when that person has passed away. Joe must feel conflicted about this subject because he has always been an admirer of Robin. While it’s true that Robin Williams stole jokes, should let the dead rest in peace.
