In what the Hall of Fame football player revealed to Cam Newton on the “Funky Friday Podcast,” If Shannon Sharpe had to travel from space, he still wants to roast Smith. Smith would be a “easy roast,” Newton said. He said,
“Yeah, if they pay me enough. But I wanna roast Stephen A. I told Stephen A., if I’m in a colony on the moon, I’m gonna pay to fly back, and I’m gonna light his a** up,”
When someone is the target of a roast, anything goes. Shannon Sharpe thinks that the roasters dig deep to learn as much as possible about the subject because of this.
Thus, the top roasters—Ross, Nikki Glaser, Tony Hinchcliffe—will analyze Smith through the same prism. They might bring up his history as a basketball player and his distaste for the Dallas Cowboys. Shannon Sharpe will perform his bit while seeing Smith chuckle or make one of his recognizable faces.
