In the midst of the Dianna Russini controversy, Drake Maye, the quarterback for the New England Patriots, claims the locker room is firmly in their coach’s favor.

At a charity event on Wednesday, the MVP runner-up was questioned about the head of the Pats’ sidelines. His response is more evidence that the entire organization is dedicated to continuing with 50-year-old Vrabel.

Maye told Jonathan Hall of 7News:

After Vrabel’s contact with the NFL insider became public, the Patriots made it very clear that they would not turn on him. This remained the case even after he decided to forgo Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft in order to receive “counseling.”
