Andre Drummond’s Post Made on X Goes Viral After Joining 76ERS

Andre Drummond recently completed his twelfth NBA season. After spending the previous two seasons with the Chicago Bulls, he concluded the previous campaign with 79 games played, an average of 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds, and a field goal percentage of 55.6%.

Drummond will sign a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic on Sunday night.


Drummond posted a message on X just before the news broke, and in less than seven hours, it received over 2.1 million impressions and over 25,000 likes.

Drummond played 49 games for Philadelphia in the 2021–2022 season, marking his second stint with the team.

He shot 53.8% from the field while averaging 6.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game with the 76ers. As Joel Embiid’s backup in 2023, Drummond is perfect.

Leading players on the 76ers’ roster include Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. With a 47-35 record, they finished as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference in the previous season.

But in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, the 76ers were defeated in six games by the New York Knicks. In addition to the Bulls and 76ers, Drummond has also played for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 864 games, he shot 54.3% from the floor and finished with career averages of 12.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.
